The Gates 20th Anniversary Project

The Gates 20th Anniversary Project is a series of AR experiences created for the retrospective exhibit at The Shed and Central Park, reimagining Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s iconic 2005 installation through immersive technology.

I worked as 3D artist in this project, animated the gate fabric to authentically replicate its movement and behavior, ensuring historical and artistic accuracy. Developed a VR previs experience, allowing the team to visualize how The Gates would appear and function within Central Park’s pathways. Assisted in modeling the 3D interactive AR map at The Shed, providing a bird’s-eye view of the full 23-mile installation with archival 360° photographs and original concept renderings.

2024 / Local Projects/ Interactive Installation

This is an interactive installation that visualizes the impact of human actions on the future, immersing visitors in a conditional tomorrow.

I worked as technical 3D artist on this project, designed a sustainable future environment in Unreal Engine, showcasing dynamic landscapes that respond to user choices. Implemented interactive features using Vive controllers, allowing users to explore evolving environments, interact with the virtual cityscape, and actively shape the outcome of their experience. Contributed to the development of real-time environmental simulations, demonstrating the consequences of sustainability efforts or neglect in an immersive, interactive format.

Hold On No More

2024 / Lecture Performance / Multimedia Installations

Hold On No More is an ongoing series of projects that examines the perception of the unseen—the imperceptible forces shaping our bodies, memories, and emotional landscapes. This series spans lecture-performances, multimedia installations, and digital experiments, creating an intersection between language, memory, body perception, chaos, and control.

The project began as part of the Hybrid Arts Lab Residency at Theater Mitu, where it developed through performance, installation, and research into embodied perception.

Hunting

2023 / Immersive Installation / 3D&AI film

Hunting is my thesis project at IDM, it’s a 10-minute immersive experience that explores themes of self-identity, desire, and spirituality through the metaphor of hunting (Pray/Prey).

Hunting was chosen as an official selection for the Happy Valley Animation Festival and T-Short Animated Film Festival 2024, and received official laurels at the ONED Art/Experimental Film Festival

Mercedes VR

2023 / VR Experience / Volumetric Capture

This project is a collaboration with theater artist Flako Jimenez, I 3D designed and created this The VR experience––one part of an expansive multi-format work––immerses its viewer in a multisensory medium with a poetic, visually stunning recreation of Mercedes’ Bushwick home.

Gold Pylon & Gold Sphere

2023 / Infinitely iterating computer-generated animation

This project is a collaboration with artist Miriam Simun, I’m working as a 3D artist and programmer. The animation is populated by imaged creatures generated by computer models, conjured by text-to-image AI algorithms, and captured by automated camera traps in the forest.

Cosmopolitan China: Fashion Meets Virtual Worlds

As Lead Visual Effects Artist, I designed and created the virtual backgrounds for Xijia Cheng’s Cosmopolitan China editorial, blending 3D environments, cyber-futuristic aesthetics, and digital compositing to merge fashion with virtual art.
